The Tackett Show: ADCC West Coast Trials Results

Andrew and William Tackett made history at the 2024 ADCC West Coast trials this past weekend. For the first time ever two brothers have won ADCC trials side by side.

Andrew Tackett previously competed at 66kg but this time around moved up to 77kg and won gold. Older brother William moved up and won in the 88kg bracket.

In other news, Michael Perez won the over 99kg division. This is an incredible feat by itself but when you factor in the fact that Perez only weighed 175 pounds it becomes an even more outrageous win. accomplished a monstrous feat in his return to the top of the ADCC Trials podium, winning the +99kg (220 lbs and over) division at just 175 lbs.

Deandre Corbe defeated Keith Krikorian in the 66kg final to earn his spot at ADCC 2024, which will be his first appearance at the event.

Jasmine Rocha will also be going to ADCC for the first time after submitting four out of five opponents in the women’s under 55kg division. Should Vagner Rocha merit an invitation to the event, Jasmine and Vagner could be the first father-daughter pair to compete together at ADCC.

Michael Pixley submitted 4 opponents in 99kg bracket in a cumulative 2 minutes before eventually winning the division.

Helena Crevar defeated Mo Black in the women’s under 65kg final. The 17 year old Crevar submitted her four opponents en route to the finals against Black.

Elizabeth Mitrovic and Amanda Leve faced off in the women’s over 65kg division. Leve unfortunately suffered an injury so Mitrovic is headed to ADCC 2024 this fall.
